Pool House, 2020, Acrylic paint on wood panel, 36 x 36”

Describe your artistic style in three words.
Warm, bold, earthy

What's inspiring you right now?
Change. It's all around us. While we pause from exploring our outside world, we have the opportunity to go within ourselves and to really observe and grow from this strange time we're living in.

What do you do when you're feeling uninspired?
I care for my plants.

Tell us something unique about your process.
I'm also a designer so in my art practice I try to break free with unpredictable techniques or last minute color changes. There's an immediacy I crave when working and am delighted when I can achieve it.

What advice do you have for other artists?
The advice I give is also the advice I need to remember to follow: do the work.

Anything else you'd like to share?
I'm just so grateful for all the creatives, supporters, spaces and organizations, that help push the arts forward. Especially in these tumultuous times. And especially Big Medium! Thank you.
